We've got it!

Well, we've finally got our "new" sound system. It is basically new- it's only 3 years old I think. Anyway, Clay went to pocatello and helped Leif set up his new sound system, watched a couple movies and spent the night, and came back home to set up OURS! (for those of you who don't know Leif- our cousin- upgraded his Home THeater system and decided ti just GIVE us his old one!!! it is a really nice one too- we are soooo grateful- we would never buy a system like this at this point in our life...you know...with a dollar in our bank account...) Here are some pictures and anecdotes from the experience.

Here is clay beginning to set it up! He was way excited. I was excited too.

Here are all the speakers- yowsa!

Here I am...ugh. This was about all I was good for- dusting. Clay actually let me help him for a while until I completely wasted a lot of time. I measured the receiver and measured a space for it- it turned out to be perfect! So I thought....anyway, Clay had just finished hooking up all the many wires to the back of the receiver through the little hole in the back and was going to go put the receiver in the hole and then it happened. He couldn't fit it. I guess I forgot to include the pegs at the bottom that made it a little taller....uhhhhhhhhhhggggg I felt SO BAD! He had gone through SO much work putting the cords in the right places and he had to do it ALL over again so he could put it in a different spot. It was at that point that he said, "hun, I think it's just easier for me to do it by myself". I was soooo sad. He even asked me to go grocery shopping while he finished. I did.

I came home, and wala! A clean house with a new sound system nicely placed. (actually, I put the pumkins on top of the speakers, not him) This is what the front part looks like....

These are the back left and right speakers. I am going to put fabric over these cinderblocks. I thought the other ones looked pretty good painted black, so I wont deal with those. But THESE- eck. Fabric will be placed there soon. Supposedly the sound is better when they are on cinderblocks. I have no idea how, but...well....that's just how it is! Don't ask me!

Here are our Pumpkins we painted for a family night with Zane and Kristen. Mine is the pretty lady, Clays is the abstract one.

I just realized, up close mine kind of looks like she has a disease. Hmmm
Clay didn't really understand the concept of painting pumpkins so he just kind of doodled all over his. After it dried, he wished he would've painted the whole thing like the thing on the right that looks like a feather or something. It does look really cook in person, just kind of funny since it is two different blobs.

Lastly- I'm obsessed with these! They are the green package kind. Patty has these at her house ALWAYS- I wonder if she only keeps getting them for me sometimes. Everytime I'm over there I eat TONS. I can't help it! She is always so nice and sneaks us a ziplock full as it can get of lifesavers and sends us home with them. I eat them SO fast. For those of you who know how I am with GUM- It's just the same with these things if not worse.

Anyway- last night Clay, me, Kristen, and Zane watched Star Wars Episode 1. It was fun. I was dead tired by the end. Falling asleep literally. I LOVE starwars, but episode 1 is just...not the best in my opinion. That kid is just not a good actor at all. It's kind of boring to tell you the truth. But I enjoyed it nonetheless. Today is stake conference. We don't have church till 3pm because of it! I'm excited. I love our stake presidency. They are all so wonderful. I also love our stake relief society presidency.

Well that is pretty much it for our life right now. I still can't stop thinking about the Twilight saga. I even decided if I dress up for halloween I am going to be a vampire. I have become obsessed! It really is just such a good story. You know what's cool? I read online that Stephenie Meyer (the author) refuses to do ANYTHING on sundays- which is a big deal in author world. I guess usually books come out on tuesdays, and theres press conferences on sundays and just lots of things on sundays for normal book releases, and she said she isn't going to do anything on sundays, her books will just come out a little differently. Also, she is the fastest author to take Harry Potters place on the New York Times best seller list. I have no idea what that means, if you pay attention to the wording, it is strange. But still, cool. Also, the book being written is the last book from Bella's perspective, then she will hopefully publish a book called Midnight Sun, which is Twighlight, from Edwards perspective, and she wants to keep writing but from different peoples perspectives from Forks. Wierd huh? But cool. Everyone needs to read them so I can talk freely about my feelings.

Love you all! Later.

Hey Guys,
The pictures are now on my blog of the pantry and pumpkins, I was still working on it when you looked, I think. Patty is bringing the vampire books to me on Monday when she comes so i will be able to chat with you about them in about a week or less depending on how much time I can find to sit and read. I love your guys pumpkins very nice pumpkin Clayton. I am so jealous of your new system some day Blain and I will get one and we will have Clayton come set it up, if he will. I like those life savers too. I have to go now so I will talk later.
Love you guys,
Aunt Susan

So have you received any complaints from the neighbors yet about the noise coming from your apartment? Just joking. Did you survive carrying all of the speakers and cinder blocks up to your apartment? The painted pumpkins are really great. Was the laundry okay? Have a good week and we will see you later.
Love you
Mom

Oh Danielle, I had to laugh at this because it seems like every time I try and help Steve with a project it ends up taking longer or he has to re-do it. He always finds a nice way to tell me that he doesn't need my help. How funny. The speakers look pretty cool!

Twilight, I have yet to read them (I'm on a waiting list at the library). But I had a dream last night I was in the book and there were vampires asking me out. Nutto! Anyway. Clay's pumpkin is a little interesting. I LOVE YOURS!!! It's so cute! I love the blush! Your sound system is so exciting! We have one kind of on lone (his brother wasn't using his so we traded our IPOD speakers for it). It makes movies so much better! Yeah and don't feel bad, I know nothing about setting up electronics. I don't even attempt to try. I personally don't want to. What else. OH! Those mints you eat. Yeah, if I get a bag in my hands (which is less than once a year) I can't stop 'till the bag is gone! Have you ever chewed them in front of a mirror in the dark? Do it! They spark! It's wierd!

Wow, that sound system is mighty fine! It was so good of you to try and help, I'm sorry it didn't work out. I love your duster....I want to try one of those, you make it look like so much fun. As for the mints....that's funny! I had a coworker who LOVED altoids....honestly, he would go through a box in no time....I couldn't imagine, those are SOOOO potent. I'd be salivating WAY to much all day. But, those mints, that makes sense. Happy Monday!

If I didn't have kids I would totally be bella for halloween and make shad be edward. But, I think it would scare Tanner and Kate. I think you should do it. I saw a bunch of vampire stuff (little cheap stuff) to dress up in at walmart, you should check it out. I'm not sure about the whole writing from different perspectives. I think it'd be cool for one book, but not several books. Who knows. I also read that her publishers/editors wanted her to put premarital sex in her books and she refused.

I forgot, Clay looks so cute setting up his sound system. You can tell he's really excited. I also think it's funny that he gently told you it'd be easier for him to set up by himself. = )

Clay looked like he was having fun!! His hair is short again!

It all looks cool!

I love your pumpkin, no offense to Clays, I have always struggled with abstract. Jake would love it.

Those lifesavers are my stay awake in the temple ones.

I love the dusting pic, you look like a commercial. I think it's funny he asked you to go to the store. I don't like dad looking over my shoulder either. I should try that next time. That is so sad about the mistake.

Well, love you!

OK where to start. First of all, has Clay been working out? He looks bigger in a buff kind of way, he looks good, and I like the short hair. OK second- that is so funny that clay asked you to go grocery shopping, you're lucky he asked you to do that instead of getting upset at you. Not because Clay would get upset, I just mean- you have a good husband :) Well, I know what you mean with the sound system, it's really hard, I can't wait until we have a house so we can turn up the volume as loud as we want. Even if nobody complains, I have the anxiety teh whole time worrying that someone will knock on our door. The school: I hate it when people listen to headphones at school, they must not realize how loud the music is, because that happens alot, it's even happened durring tests...that's annoying! (we don't take tests in testing centers). Atleast none of my classes have. That is really annoying adn I'm so sorry. I wish school were done for both of us, that we lived by eachother, started having kids, and sewed and did crafts all day while our kids played. And then when one of us needed a break we could switch off kids. I would love it so much if that happened with us. HOpefully Mike will land a huge consulting firm in California, and we will live by you guys. You have wizzed through school so fast though, you're doing so good. And you have really good grades. Try not to compare yourself to all the other students. You get A's. That is really good!!! Even if you got B's that is really good! C is average. And you are above average. I really want to read the twilight series, I will christmas break. There is so much more I want to respond to....what else...That's really cool you guys are being vampires. The lifesavors- hahah- I got those in highschool and in Utah, back in the days when I cared about my breath. I don't really like gum, so I always did the life savors. And they are really good! Patty sounds so nice. I'm so glad you get to spend time with mom and dad for Thanksgiviing. That is a cool idea bout painting the cinder blocks black. I would have never thought to do that. Your pumpkins look cute. We haven't done any! I love you and miss you and wish we had more time to talk to eachother. Soon school will be done, and we will be like Rebecca and Lizzie and talk to eachother every day while we clean the house. :) I love you.
