9 days!

TILL CHRISTMAS! WOOOPEEEEEEE! Ha, Clay and I are very excited for Christmas. We are pretty excited in general. I school for weeks! (months for me- yay!) and Clay is only working half days the whole break meaning we get to spend a ton of time together! I get to do projects and sleep in and my goodness it feels great! It's funny- Clay ALWAYS- I mean...EVERY SINGLE NIGHT wants to stay up late. I always want to go to bed. Tonight- it is 12:41 am and I am not even tired. I could go to bed and fall asleep, sure, but I don't feel like it. I am guessing it is because I am not stressed whatsoever about tomorrow, or the next day, or the next! Life is bliss! Is that the correct usage of that phrase? Whatever.

So can I say that I LOVE my new layout? Thanks to Megan for the sweet hookup. that is the website for fun layouts if you're interested. I get happy most times when I look at my blog now.

I am happy to say that I still love my hair. It is truly amazing what a good hair cut/dye can do for you. I feel 10x's better about myself and am way more motivated to fix myself up everyday.

I am also happy to say that I am finally at rest about this internship thing. I mean, I am still nervous as heck, but I am finally confident in myself that I will do well, and am a fast learner and all will go as it should. I am seeing the light called "Graduation" and am very pleased to see it. For those who are wondering...I should graduate April of 2009. 3 semesters left of classes after the internship.

Clay and I have been watching Season 7 of Gilmore Girls. Men, make fun of my husband if you want but I say he must be very secure to admit to liking gilmore girls. The fact of the matter is, all of you like it too. I've heard your wives tell me this and seen it myself, we watch the show (or other "chick flicks") and you are doing something on the computer or passing through like you are busy, but really, you are watching it and loving it! Anyway, Clay has faithfully gone through each season with me after it's come out on dvd. We have 2 episodes left. I wanted to finish them tonight but Clay was a little gilmored out for the night. (He likes them, but obviously not to the extent that I do!!!) I must say, Gilmore Girls never get old with me. I loooooooove them. Such a comfort.

I am really quite home sick. In fact, I'll admit that today I looked at every post my mom ever posted. I didn't read everything, but I looked back to see all the pictures. I hate it because I wont be visiting for months. Oh well...I think it is the holiday time thing. I am way excited to spend time with Clay's family for Christmas, really- they are such wonderful loving people and it will be way fun to spend this holiday with them, but I am feeling a little blue about spending my first Christmas away from momma and pops. When we moved to the coast my sophmore year, it was just me and them at the house and we all three became best friends. I always preferred spending time at home than going out and if I had friends over I was never embarrassed to watch movies with my parents or sit and talk with them. And my friends liked it too! For some reason lately I've been missing that. I've been missing everyone really. I'm glad I get to see Lizzie and Shad and the kids next week. It will probably help.

Well, I think I will go read. I have my regular background sound of shooting guns and explosions (Clay's video games) so it'll be just perfect! I love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope your holidays are just wonderful. Oh yeah- how'd you like my random pictures? I write a lot and decided I'd try to spice it up a bit:)

I loved your blog! I loved the pics also. I know what you mean about being homesick, I am that way also. It is weird not having any kids around, and no little grandkids to see all these santas I have collected. Oh well, I have been telling myself that it is for me too that I decorate. I think it is the holiday season that makes us want to be with our family. Dad is waitng on me it is late, I love you!!! Call me this week.

Hey Danielle,
I know what you mean about not being around your family for the holidays, this will be the first Christmas Eve and Morning that I have not been at Patty's house for I don't know how many years. I was a little jeolous that you were over there to tell you the truth. But I am so glad that you had fun baking and frosting cookies with them and I know that Patty loves having you guys over when you come because she tells me that all the time. Hopefully we will see you this coming weekend, we will be there Friday night later and most of the day Saturday and we are going to church with Patty on Sunday plus we are staying with them so I am sure we might bump into each other sometime. Anyway, I hope that you enjoy your break and sleeping in, which would be really nice.
Love you Guys,
Aunt Susan

i LOVE your backround, it is so happy and fun. That's really funny about the word to teh men on gilrmore girls, because I feel that way too, but mike gives out this huge sigh moan when I turn it on, like he's beign tortured, but then he'll sit down and watch ah little bit of it. That is so exciting that you will be graduating in april of 09- that's a little over a year away! I will be so happy for you. I'm glad you feel better about teh intern. That's funny about you and clay- it's the opposite in our home- I want to stay up late- mike wants to go to bed. I just become a party girl at night! I wonder if we hate to go to bed because we hate to get up in teh morning. I wish we lived by eachother, I'm so sorry you are homesick, I love you and miss you so much. We have so much in common, and we could be doing it together! And clay and mike have alot in common also. Uhhhhh. You never know, maybe we will someday. I forgot that you won't be going to school during your intern. WHAT A RELIEF. psot your quilt when you finish it. I love you- hopefully we'll get to talk on teh phone today!- love you-

Mike here-
Clay watches Gilmore Girls!?!?
It's true that when Amy's watching it I can't look away, it's like looking at something really bad that just happened and not being able to look away, but knowing that you should.

I really love the pictures. I know what you mean about being homesick, sometimes we just miss the togetherness I think. I really get to thinking about the old days when everyone was home at this time of year. I miss all of you and when you were small, but you're all grown up and so are all of your siblings. My grandchildren have become great friends to me now. I just wished that sometimes we were all closer. I think it's neat that Clay watches chick shows with you, grandpa has always watched with me. I just think he is a great guy in love with his wife:) nothing wrong with that!!! I really like the blog you write. I love you up to the sky Grandma

I have been watching the last season of Gilmore Girls with Tanner this week. He's the past I've made no-bake cookies when we watch Gilmore Girls, so today I said, "do you want to watch Gilmore Girls?" And he said, "Yea, I wanna watch Gilmore Girls and eat cookies." I'm pretty sure he doesn't love gilmore girls, but the cookies that go along with it. Can't wait to see you next week. We WILL have cell coverage so you can call Shad's cell-I'll email it to you.

I LOVE Girlmore Girls too. Greg does too. He'll get disappointed if I've started an episode w/o him. And you know, he doesn't like to admit that when people are around. Funny, he'll admit to everything else. Loving the background- excellent choice. I'm glad you have time together, it's the best. The couple weeks before Greg left were great, and we'll have a couple more after tomorrow!
