What color???

So...I've decided to do what Amy has done, and paint my frames. However, I am way too scared to pick a color on my OWN...and Clay is hesitant to give a confident opinion. So. This is the picture of our pillows (that I made) which, in case you can't tell...has green, blue, and brown in them. PLEASE. Help me decide which color to paint my frames. Blue, Green, Brown? I don't know!

Oh, also...we are having a couple we just barely became acquainted with over for dinner on Friday. I am either thinking a Teriyaki (i know i spelled that wrong..) type of stir fry dish...OR taco salad. Which sounds better for first time guests? She is from Brazil, he is from...I don't know where. But they are a fun couple and we are hoping to become good friends!

Well, I don't know what the rest of your apartment looks like, but I am loving that green color! And...taco salad is SO good. I would be friends with you if you fed me that!

Ok, I would do the green. I would do the exact color that the green is in your pillow, if you don't have a scrap of fabric, I would bring the pillow with me to Wal-mart. And before you order it say, "will this paint stick to plastic, wood metal anything? and I'm sure they'll say, "It sticks to everything" and then you have to decide what shine you want- we did matte. Which means NO shine. But you know what Danielle, I think that any of the colors would be really cute- the blue is trendy, the brown is contemporary, and the green is fun AND trendy. Think about what color you want to bring out of the pillows, or what one you enjoy the most. The order for me would be green, blue, brown. But I honestly do like the blue alot also. And those pillows are so cute, when I see them I want to change mine and do those. For dinner, I would do taco salad. Last night we had Tiffany and her husband over (they were driving through) and that's what we made. They had seconds. Also- when you order it, they'll say "do you want the 4 dollar or 9 dollar paint?" we did the 4 dollar, and it worked great. Also- we bought painters plastic to put on the floor that was like a buck. Well worth it, because then you don't have to worry about getting it on the carpet or having the newspaper shift on you- you can just lay it all out on the plastic. You will love it! I'm so excited for you- AND- we did 2 coats. The first coat- looked streaky- like it wasn't going to work- but after it dries, and you paint it again, it completely covers. You will love it! I'm so glad you are doing it! Have fun with the couple!

I don't mean to make you MORE confused, but I took a second look at your pillows, and it looks like there is alot of Green, so it might be fun to pull out the blue, then you'll have 2 main colors in your room- blue and green- Otherwise your room will mainly be green- and the blue will disapear. Which isn't bad, it just depends on what you want. Both would be great.

I didn't notice this post until today. The most important thing to remember is the paint police are not going to come and take you away. Just do what you think will be fun and that YOU would like. People love other peoples apartments when the other person decorates with there own personality. When you love the person, you love there home because it is them. It may not be how you would decorate it, but you like it and feel comfortable there because it is them. So let go of the fear and ask yourself "which one do I like the best?" Now for a more analytical look at it, look at the rest of the decor you have in your apt. and ask yourself what would blend the best with them. That is if you want to look at it that way. Otherwise ignore this comment and only take my first advice!! love you!!!
