What the heck?

I'm 22 going on 80. I can't bend over because otherwise my back will SCREAM at me and tell me I'll DIE if I bend any further. What happened??!?! I tried popping it myself like I always do and nothings cracking. UGH! Maybe I just need my morning smoothie. Eh?

Today we're going to the Zoo. I'm pretty pumped about that. It's for Clay's cousins daughters birthday. hahaha. I promise it really isn't all weird- just think about it. Clay's super close to his cousin- and her daughter is turning 3! So of course we are going to the party. Anyway. I really wish Clay had told me earlier about this party cause I didn't do anything as a gift. Obviously I would've wanted to make her a dress or something ya know? But no time. Last time I tried to make a baby dress in a couple hours I didn't succeed.

We're also going to Allstate today. FUN!

OH- I almost forgot. This goes right along with the "What the heck?" title. We played scrabble with our friends last night AND I DIDN'T WIN! Oh dear. I'm not joking- this is the first time I've ever played scrabble outside my family and NOT WON! I was pretty devastated. In fact, I was SO close to coming in 3rd place. What?!? If you know me well, you know I am COMPETITIVE when it comes to board games. Basketball? Volleyball? No. I really could care less. But put me in front of Monopoly, Scrabble, Risk- I am going to give NO breaks- not even to my husband. ESPECIALLY not to my husband:) My competitiveness rubs off on him. I can happily say though, that he came in below me in score. So that at least was happy. I'm not crazy- kay?

Alright. This was a blah post...but I just felt like writing it.

Ah! The post cured me! I can bend over all of a sudden. The magical powers of blogging.

haha- the miracle of blogging- I'm sorry about yoru back, hopefully it's cured now? Zoo- so fun! I've never been to a zoo! And I think portland is like considered a really good one. I am also good at scrabble, I am so sorry you did not do as well as hoped for, that is always so dissapointing. You're so lucky you get to play these games, though, Mike is way too big of a poor sport to play games- he is a sore loser.

I wish i was close to you, I could help you with your back :) try stretching your legs and sleeping with a pillow between your knees and then use a heating pad.

It's not wierd to go to anyone's party. A friend is a friend, whether you're related or not. Oh yeah, your back. That stinks. Have totally been there, both Greg and I. And yeah, you just think, "What the heck? How did this happen? I'm too young to throw my back out!" But it happens and I dread the day it happens again. For both Greg and I, we just had to wait it out and over days/weeks it slowly went back to normal. Greg even went to a Chiropractor and a massage therapist but it did no good. Do you ALWAYS win scrabble? Even against Mom? Greg hates scrabble and the one and only time we played Monopoly we realized we should never play it again, because Greg says I'm "ruthless". Oh my gosh I love the zoo, but I'm sure you love it even more. You're such animal people. I love you. I'm so glad you called the other day.

Oh yeah, ice your back. Most people heat, but ice actually HEALS. Heat just comforts. Unless you alternate ever 20 minutes or something. Also, have you ever used Tiger Balm? It's the BEST. It's comparable to icy hot/ or bengay but is WAAAAAAY better. Trust me. It's spendy, but it's really soothing and relaxes your muscles. Greg and I love it and use it when we're tense.

that was funny about your back! I'm glad it's better. The scrabble game- know the feeling, happened to me when my kids started growing up, its a sad day! I always like things like the zoo, but Allstate? no way!
