Pot Roast without mashed potatoes

Does anyone actually brave it? Seriously. I am eating leftover pot roast...with nothing else. Gravy, yes. But no potatoes. I suppose they don't have to be MASHED. But in some form....they just have to be there. I feel weird and the sensation pot roast gives you just isn't there without the potatoes.

Anyway. I will finish my dinner.

Clay is sick and in bed. Therefore I have to entertain myself while I'm eating. Thus, reading blogs, thinking about the potatoless roast, and blogging about it...letting the roast get cold...making it worse.

Goodbye.

Sorry Clay is ill. I had a little bout with stomach flu the other day. The pita pockets look good and I will try them. I get tired of trying to figure out what to eat. I miss you Love you lots grams

Potato-less roast... Isn't that one of the seven deadly sins? Maybe not, but roast definitely just isn't the same without potatoes!

p.s. hope Clay feels better!

Interesting. At first I was like, "Big deal," but then I thought about it, and I don't think I've done a roast w/o the potatoes, myself! Who knew they had to go hand in hand? If it's shreddable put it in bbq sauce and then put it in buns. And yes, it was most definitely a joke. We had no idea people would take us seriously! We cut the back really short like a normal haircut after we took the pictures. I was wondering if people were just being polite, but I feel like they like it a little! I don't know. As for the recipe up top, roasted red peppers, mmmmmmmm . . . that would make it much tastier! Thanks for the tip!

SO funny that you wrote about this because I have a roast in the crockpot right now, as I type and we are having mashed potatoes with it. They just go hand in hand I guess.
