Goals by Numbers...to date

Wowee, well I sure have been slacking on my "Goals by Numbers" deal. But I figured I should get this tally up to date and try my best to hit my numbers by the end of the year. Let me tell you, I have a lot to get done in four months if I am to make all those numbers! Yikes! Summer has been busy and fun, so anyhow...here is where I'm at.

Play 1000 songs on the piano- 316 played
Read 12 new books- 4 read
Make 52 new recipes- 30 made
Have 12 memorable dates with Clay- 7 dates
Read Genesis through 2 Kings of the Old testament- Genesis read

So by my count this is how many I need to do by the end of December:

684 songs
8 books
22 recipes
5 dates
11 books in the bible

Yikes! I think I can definitely acheive some of those...but some I'm not so sure (coughbiblecough)...Oh well, I shall continue to try. I really think the books one is possible simply for the fact that in the fall and winter I read a lot...and go out a LOT less.

I will try and update the blog with all the fun things Clay and I have been up to. I've gotten quite a few things done off of my 25 in 25th year list too. I just love lists huh?

Well, wish me luck!

I find it amazing that you've come so far with so many goals! It's hard to do lots of goals at once! I am especially impressed with your Bible goal. It is so hard to read, especially when you're doing it by yourself. I hated reading the scriptures until seminary. So that took a lesson every single day to get me going. You're just doing it for yourself!

And I totally understand what you mean about going out less and reading more in the winter. I love it and am going to miss that part of winter. I love you so so much! Good luck with everything! :D

I thought as I read your blog, "just think what you would not have done if you hadn't made those goals." I think it's awesome what you have done! The only time I read the bible cover to cover minus the psalms, was when Rebecca was a baby. I had more time, no full time job and nap times. Plus I lived in a single wide mobile home. So I think what you have accomplished with the bible is great! love and miss you!!

As much as your numbers aren't up to where you want- I am so impressed! Really! 7 memorable dates? 30 new recipes? AND reading books? I am so impressed! That is a lot! AAND you've been doing a LOT that ISN'T on your list. Like all the working out and making projects. That counts for a lot. You have done so much!!! Bravo! Bravo!!! Miss my Danny! Love you!

Just had to laugh at the Bible thing. I blogged YEARS ago that I would read 5 pages a day and read the whole things in 6months or something. Ha! Made it a little farther tahnyou and just stopped. It is a hard one.

You've made a lot of progress.

Can you just listen to the bible while cooking a new recipe? Two birds, one stone.

I thought I commented on this! I must have started and then Maddie got me. WELL- I think you have made GREAT progress, and I think all accept the bible (haha) you can totally do! I love that you make all these goals, bc I don't make alot of goals bc I don't want to fail ha- but like- bc you made all these goals and took a chance- you accomplished SO MUCH this year that you otherwise would not have, and you only "failed" in one, and even still, you read the book of Genesis! That's awesome! I've never read the book of Genesis. You're awesome! love you.
