Of course I'm all insecure about it now that I'm showing you guys.
Here's the before:
As you may see, it was painted a poop brown color with some sort of shading as well. It just wasn't quite right. (This was the day we got it back in November of last year)
We (I) tried to paint strip it...but it turned out even uglier and it was just a mess and way too hard.
And then I spray painted it and here is the after!
We love it. Some parts turned out a little more "dirty" than I had planned....but whatever. It WAS perfect before that dumb mishap with the clear gloss (yellow splotch gloss) happened....but then after it wasn't as good as I had it before...so anyway. Bottom line...its about a bazillion times better than before!
Guess what? I went to a new thrift store in town and I. LOVE. IT. Holy smokes it's great! The clothes are SUPER SUPER cheap and so is the jewelry and books and basically all of it. I am so excited about it!

Even though I already called you about it, I had to comment for the record and say that I love it! I don't know what happened on the phone- I'm guessing your phone died. love you
love it! It's so cute! I tried spray painting today and it looks AWFUL! I don't know why my projects can't turn out so beautiful! you have the touch.
It looks AMAZING!!! I really want a piano and then I really want to antique one, too!!!
Love the piano. It is so WILD. I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but it looks like a ghost piano. All the white and almost smoky look for the shade part. I think it's cool. Like way cool. Don't be self conscious, I think it's rad.
Wow! It looks incredible and I can't even begin to think of all of the hard work you put into it. The detail on the front definitely stands out instead of fading into the piano.
Wow, it's a piece of art. Good work, and I mean WORK! What a process. Way to go!
Looks like a beautiful piano to me and I am glad it is what you want now. I really like it, and it sounds like a lot of work. I am getting too old for projects like that. Glad you found a new store, when do you hear about the test? Love you so much
That looks so cool Danielle!
Beautiful!! i love the antique look! We are working on our dresser right now and I can't wait to see how it turns out! i LOVE the piano! You did an awesome job!! Way to go!!! Love you!
Your piano looks great! I love it! You are so amazing. I mean you have Lyme Disease and you still do all of these great projects, find and make up new recipes and you are just so amazing! I love all of the engravings and stuff. It looks so cool. Love you! :)
BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!! LOVE YOU!

Ok, I LOOOVE it! I have a piano like this in my garage I am going to do (need to raise enough funds to paint it first) I love seeing how yours turned out!!! So fun! You did AWESOME! (popping over from better after!)
I have been debating. and debating. AND DEBATING on whether or not to paint our piano. And ours looks shockingly similar to yours!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I should just go for it. Anyways, I'd love for you to share this over at Trash 2 Treasure Tuesday on the Korner! http://kammyskorner.blogspot.com/2011/11/trash-2-treasure-tuesdays-5.html
hey danielle this is amber. i sold you that piano last year. how crazy is it that i found it on this site. this is one of my favorite sites. it looks so beautiful. i wanted to paint it for so long. i do have to say that i am heart broken that i had to sell it. glad you love it and it looks great!
I think this is beautiful; I can't believe it is just spray painted??!! Please tell how you did it - the look is very classy and almost antiqued. Want to know what kind of paint you used, how much you needed, did you use two different colors? What kind of finish? Thanks!
